August 2008
At this meeting we had a Back To School theme. We handed out pencil boxes with crayons, pencils, erasers, glue, ruler
and sample work sheets, comic books, and coloring books. We were going to have a water slide but the wind picked up
and it was suppose to rain, so we played in the house. Some of the kids played on computers, others played with toys.
We talked about our upcoming Special Christmas party. We also handed out Food 4 Less cards so that when we shop we scan
the cards and Food 4 Less donates a percentage to our group. Every penny helps. We also introduced our Special
Autism Awareness Bracelets.

outside and run inside. It was fun trying to round up the kiddos and get them inside before the storm hit. We
had the children make their ice cream sundays in the house this time. We discussed our fund raiser options and also
discussed having our Down Syndrome and Autism Awareness event in Victorville Mall. This event will be on August 9th
